Questions about the courses?

We keep group sizes deliberately small — usually no more than 12 people per cohort. That way, you’ll get individual attention, tailored feedback, and the chance to ask questions specific to your book or situation. It’s a supportive, no-pressure environment — perfect whether you’re confident and ready to go, or still finding your feet.

These are live, interactive courses, delivered in real time over Zoom. You’ll join a small group of fellow writers for a series of practical sessions, led personally by Ed. No boring slides, no recycled recordings — just honest advice, direct support, and real answers to your questions as you go.

No problem. All sessions are recorded and you’ll get access to the full replays straight after each one. You’ll still get all the advice, exercises, and step-by-step guidance — and if you have questions, you can email Ed directly for help.

The course is designed for writers who are nearing the end of their first draft, already editing, or preparing to publish. If your book is still in early development, you’re welcome to join — just know we’ll be focusing on what happens after the writing is (mostly) done.

Yes — Try the first live session. If it’s not right for you, you can request a full refund. I only want you on the course if it genuinely helps you move forward.

Why Learn from Me?

I’ve worked in publishing for more than 30 years — from educational publishing to commercial non-fiction, from bookshops to boardrooms. I know how the industry works because I’ve been part of it: as an editor, a publisher, a consultant, and now as a trainer.

Over the years, I’ve helped hundreds of writers:

  • Get their books published professionally
  • Navigate the minefield of self-publishing
  • Land agents and secure traditional publishing deals
  • Avoid the scams, shortcuts and false promises that waste time and money

I don’t sell miracle fixes. I won’t tell you what you want to hear. Instead, I’ll give you straight answers, clear steps, and ongoing support — so you can make confident decisions about your book and your publishing journey.

Whether you’re looking to self-publish or find a literary agent, I’ll help you do it properly — and avoid the painful mistakes most first-time authors make.

“More than 500 writers have attended my courses to get published properly — many for the first time.”
